From specialized software to international visibility. Websters recently helped the Genome Detective team make a strong impression at ESCMID 2026 in Munich, the leading international trade fair and conference for the analysis and control of infectious diseases.
Genome Detective is a comprehensive online software platform that automatically decodes and analyzes the genetics of viruses, bacteria, and fungi through genome sequencing. To raise global awareness of this life-saving technology, Websters developed a comprehensive marketing package in the lead-up to the event. In addition to designing and building the trade show booth, we created a brand-new website, an international press campaign, and communications via LinkedIn.
Strategy Meets Execution
The collaboration left them wanting more: Rob Snoeijs is now working on systematically expanding external communications to further increase Genome Detective’s brand awareness and the number of incoming requests.
Webster's approach combines strategic thinking with operational execution. Working with the entire team, Rob continuously refines the marketing strategy and ensures clear and regular communication.
"My focus is not just on doing more marketing, but above all on doing the right kind of marketing: content-driven and tailored to the company’s current stage of growth," Rob explains. "By consistently prioritizing the value of the software platform, Websters supports Genome Detective’s sustainable international growth. It is a wonderful mission that we are all contributing to: making it easier for laboratories and doctors to identify pathogens quickly and accurately, so that timely and appropriate action can be taken to treat people and save lives."
Working together on-site pays off
“The collaboration between Genome Detective and Websters is going smoothly, partly because Rob regularly comes here to consult and work with us,” says Wim Dumon, CEO of Genome Detective. “It’s paying off. The trade show booth in Germany attracted a lot of visitors, and we’re currently following up on those valuable contacts.”
“In addition, we’re seeing the impact of our marketing mix: the website is attracting a growing number of visitors, some of whom go on to use the software platform; our reach on social media is expanding globally; and our newsletters are keeping many users informed.”
A targeted media campaign also led to coverage in several international publications, making Genome Detective the talk of the town in its sector for a short while.
