Hey everyone! I’m Sam, a final-year bachelor’s student in Digital Experience Design at Thomas More Mechelen. Since September, I’ve also been an intern at Websters. I’m not only a student, but also a young dad. Alongside my studies, I spend a lot of time with my son. In my free time, I’m a gamer — but not just any gamer. I also love coming up with ideas and developing them myself. I’m an enthusiastic Pokémon collector, and I create ACEO Art Cards especially for you. Those who know, know what that means!

Why Digital Experience Design?

Before college, I studied automotive mechanics and automotive electronics at Damiaaninstituut Aarschot. Towards the end of secondary school, I realised that I wasn’t able to express myself creatively enough. Thanks to a suggestion from my sister, who previously studied media at Thomas More, I also found my way to Thomas More, Campus De Ham. I chose to study Interactive Multimedia Design because I still wanted to keep the technical side of things while also having the opportunity to express my creativity. After all, graphic design is my passion!

At Websters...

My main goal is to learn as much as possible. I’m someone who loves experimenting and discovering new technologies. I don’t want to focus solely on design, but I also want to learn more about marketing- and SEO-related projects. I’m really looking forward to working together with my colleagues as part of a team. Teamwork is something I can still improve on, but I’m more than happy to take on that challenge.

What’s next?

To sum things up, I’m really looking forward to working together with the Websters team over the coming weeks. I’m excited to show what I can already do, while also learning many new things along the way. I’ll give it my all to contribute to the projects and become part of this welcoming team. After my internship, I hope to have made a good impression and hopefully even earn a permanent place here at Websters. On top of that, I want to continue sharing my creativity with the world through exciting and impressive projects!
