INTERN GIEL LAUNCHED INTO THE UNIVERSE OF WEBSTERS

We are excited to welcome our new intern Giel to the team this week!

As part of his diploma program in Digital Design, he will be strengthening our team for the next four months. During his internship, he hopes to expand his knowledge in multimedia design and explore new things.

Websters new intern Giel Struyf

Giel, have you always been interested in multimedia design?

"Yes, actually. I’ve been working with multimedia and web design since I was 15. After completing my ‘IT management’ studies in high school, I deepened my knowledge by obtaining a ‘web designer’ certificate. I then chose to pursue the Digital Design program at PXL Hasselt to further expand my skills.”

What attracts you to the Digital Design program?

"The creative aspect appeals to me the most, such as designing websites, brand books, corporate identities, and logos. It’s the combination of creativity and technology that excites me.”

What are the key takeaways you hope to gain from your internship at Websters?

"During my internship at Websters, I want to learn as much as possible about the technical aspects of web design and branding. I also want to understand more about how a company operates and what role I can play in it. With this in mind, I sought out an internship and found Websters. I have always been strong in creative thinking and translating that into concrete designs, but I want to further develop my technical skills, such as working with website builders and graphic programs. I hope to make a positive contribution to the team. An internship is a fantastic opportunity for professional development, personal growth, and turning skills and knowledge into experience.”

How do you see your future when you look into your crystal ball?

"In the future, I would like to be part of a team, such as at an agency, so I can build a solid foundation and learn from people with more experience. With that knowledge, I would eventually like to work as a freelancer. This would give me more freedom, allowing me to set my own hours and choose my clients."

Giel looks forward to an exciting and educational period full of new experiences. We are thrilled about the fresh ideas and energy he will bring.

Welcome, Giel!
